NFL player Braxton Berrios is being roasted on Instagram after he posted a four-word response in the wake of his high-profile split from podcaster Alix Earle.
The December 12 Instagram post by the Houston Texans player was accompanied by a photo showing a half-smiling Berrios strolling down the street holding a cup of coffee while wearing sunglasses and a pinstriped casual outfit. “What did I miss?” the caption read. Fans immediately drew the connection to the headlines surrounding Berrios’s split from Earle, who recently competed on Dancing With the Stars. In fact, they downright shredded him in the comment thread, although he did have some defenders as well. Meanwhile, Earle’s Instagram story on December 13 contained scenes from a trip to New York.
Fans Were Not Pleased With Braxton Berrios’s Caption
Fans of Earle let Berrios have it in the comment thread on Instagram. “Where is your PR team with this caption,” wrote one. “Alix???? You missed Alix???” wrote another person.
“Is this rage bait?” pondered another, while yet another fan sniped, “If you turn on the news. Apparently you’re going though a breakup.” Wrote another person, “Didn’t miss an opportunity to throw a fit that’s for sure.”
Some fans referred to Earle’s DWTS stint, with one writing, “You missed the fox trot, Argentine tango, quickstep, paso doble, samba, freestyle.” But other people wanted the couple to get back together or showed sympathy for Berrios. “Come on…. You love ALIX. Go get her back please,” wrote one.

In early December, sources confirmed to Peoplethat the pair had split after two years of dating, adding that the decision was “mutual.”
Earle has also posted photos and videos showing her partying and dancing in Miami in the wake of the split. “Can’t a girl just go dancing,” she wrote on December 13. Meanwhile, Earle also opened up about her feelings on TikTok, writing, “Is my frontal lobe developing bc I’m about to turn 25 and usually I stress abt having the biggest party but all I want to do is workout, meditate, play card games, & have good convos w the ppl closest to me.” She added: “Either I’m maturing or just rlly going thru it .. maybe both 😭.”

The couple once gushed about each other on Instagram. “I hope everybody gets to feel as loved as I felt this weekend. There’s nothing better than being surrounded by the people you love that traveled across the country to be there for you. Alix I don’t know how you pulled this surprise off but I’m so thankful you did. What a way to start 30!” Berrios wrote alongside a photo showing them together in October.
In 2024, he wrote, “Happy birthday to this amazing woman. Watching you take on the world in stride is a simple joy in my life. You’re loved by everybody you meet and that’s a testament to your heart and the person you are. I’m honored to call that person mine. You’re my best friend, the person I can always lean on, and I feel lucky to walk into year 24 with you. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you sweetheart, I love you ♥️”
