The Celebrity Traitors is returning in 2026, and the cast is already starting to take shape.
Producers are busy working behind the scenes as they hope to replicate the success of the first star-studded edition of the hit BBC game of bluff and deception.
Alan Carr emerged victorious from the iconic castle, and a new civilian series is launching on New Year’s Day.
It’s now reported that Daisy May Cooper is in talks to appear in series two of Celebrity Traitors, after pulling out of the first season just weeks before filming.
‘Daisy is telly gold. She’s hilarious and would be perfect. Show bosses are pulling out all the stops to make this happen,’ an insider told The Sun.
According to the Mirror, the This Country star was due to feature on the first series earlier this year, but she dropped out because she didn’t want to be away from home after giving birth to her son Benji.

There had also been reports that her brother Charlie was being chased by bosses, who wanted to replicate the drama of having family members in the show, like with Diane and Ross in the second series of Traitors last year.
Now, it seems show bosses are hoping to tempt Daisy back so she can provide similar comic relief to Alan.
She wasn’t the only star to turn down the show this time round, as Jonathan Ross recently revealed Ricky Gervais rejected an offer.
‘He called me because I think my name had got out there, nothing had been confirmed before we filmed it,’ he recalled on his Reel Talk podcast last month.
‘He said “Are you doing this Traitors thing?” I said “Yeah, I’m doing it. Stephen Fry is definitely doing it, and Alan [Carr] is going in…”.
‘And he said: “I’m not doing it. The reason I’m not doing it is, I’m pretty sure that if you go in there, they’re going to say it’s going to have to be one of these bigger names.
‘You’re going to wind up getting voted out just because they think you’re a bigger name in the outside world.”’
Of course, that’s exactly what happened with Joe Marler championing the so-called Big Dog Theory at the roundtable.
Jeremy Clarkson has also ruled himself out of being among the Traitors or Faithful, with such a packed scheduled.
According to The Sun, he said: ‘I wouldn’t in a million years. I’ve got ten jobs already. Why would I want 11?’
‘I couldn’t see James May going on it,’ he added. ‘I could see Richard Hammond going on it, though.’
