Cape Town is home to one of the New7Wonders of Nature

Did you know Cape Town is home to one of the New7Wonders of Nature?

It’s Table Mountain! It ranks as one of the top seven natural wonders, selected by over 500 million global voters from 28 finalists.

It’s one of Cape Town’s most famous trademarks and an attraction that magnetises both locals and tourists alike. Let’s take a seat at the table.

Come to the table

Although Table Mountain was announced as one of the New7Wonders of Nature over a decade ago (in 2011), it remains timeless. It will never cease to draw in excited visitors to its mountaintop to share its breathtaking views.

Table Mountain is also part of UNESCO’s Cape Floral Region World Heritage Site and Table Mountain National Park. It’s a central point for the best views, outdoor activities like hiking, fun rides on the aerial cableway, and rich biodiversity.

A New7Wonders of Nature yellow photo frame was recently introduced at Table Mountain’s summit. At the Shop at the top. It marked a proud moment in celebration of Tourism Month in South Africa, which reflects the mountain’s importance in our nation’s heritage and culture.

Furthermore, it is ideal for visitors to make new memories and continue the mountainous legacy with one of the best views in South Africa.

In case you wondered about the other six wonders of nature, they are:

  • Jeju Island (South Korea)
  • Komodo (Indonesia)
  • PP Underground River (Philippines)
  • Ha Long Bay (Vietnam)
  • Iguazu Falls (Argentina and Brazil)
  • Amazon (South America)

Have you taken a photo at the top of Table Mountain?
