Dozens of shipping containers fell off a docked cargo ship in Long Beach, California.
Aerial footage showed the destroyed containers floating in the Pacific Ocean along with their contents after a mishap at the Port of Long Beach caused them to topple overboard. The adjacent support boat was smashed by the falling containers.
“[U.S. Coast Guard] units and local partners are responding to report of containers in the water near Pier G in Long Beach this morning,” the U.S. Coast Guard shared via X on Tuesday morning. “Safety zone has been established.”
