At just 22 years old, Carlos Alcaraz is the number 2-ranked men’s tennis player in the world, and he’s locked in a historic rivalry with Jannik Sinner that continues at the Cincinnati Open on Aug. 18.
One thing he doesn’t appear to have, though, is a girlfriend, at least not one who is publicly known.
Alcaraz has never had a wife. In fact, his girlfriend history is also scant, with only one name credibly emerging.
Tennis Tonic reported that Alcaraz once dated a woman named Maria Gonzalez Gimenez when he was 18, but they split.

Alcaraz gave some details about his personal life to Vogue in 2023. In that magazine article, the tennis pro, who is from Spain, revealed that he still lives with his family.
He chalked up not having a girlfriend to the pressures of the tennis circuit; that’s a challenge that Sinner has also lamented in an interview.
“It’s complicated, never staying in one place,” Alcaraz told Vogue in 2023. “It’s hard to find the person who can share things with you if you’re always in different parts of the world.”
In that interview, Alcaraz said he had not had a girlfriend for a year and a half.
Tennis pro Nick Kyrgios made controversial comments that Alcaraz likes to party in a podcast in which he was asked to contrast Alcaraz’s tennis prowess with Sinner’s. Alcaraz is well-known for enjoying the Ibiza party circuit.
“I choose Sinner, because Alcaraz loves girls,” Kyrgio said. “He could get distracted, he might party too much.”

In June, Alcaraz tried to downplay the partying narrative around his Ibiza trips.
“I went to Ibiza again,” Alcaraz said, according to the ATP Tour.
“It was fun, but honestly, I was there more mentally than physically. I had fun, just three nights, three days, and I think that was more than enough… The craziest thing was probably staying out really late. I danced a bit, but nothing more than what a normal person would do.”

One persistent rumor following Alcaraz is that his girlfriend is fellow tennis pro Emma Raducanu.
These rumors escalated at Wimbledon, when she attended one of his matches.
However, Raducanu then set the record straight and clarified that they are just friends.
