Jamie Murray has revealed who he thinks will land the Wimbledon trophy with Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner all in the hunt.
Alcaraz booked his spot in the semi-finals on Tuesday with a 6-2 6-3 6-3 victory over British star Cameron Norrie to continue his title defence.
Djokovic and Sinner are hoping to join him today when they take on Flavio Cobolli and Ben Shelton respectively in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
Sinner is currently struggling with an elbow injury but is determined to play against Shelton after rumours that he may be forced to withdraw.
Murray rules Sinner out of Wimbledon title race
Murray, speaking exclusively to Metro, does not think that world No.1 Sinner will be getting his hands on this year’s Wimbledon trophy.
The British doubles star has raised concerns over Sinner’s suitability to the grass surface and feels the Italian was ‘very lucky’ against Grigor Dimitrov.

Sinner progressed to the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Monday with a walkover win over Dimitrov – despite losing the first two sets – with the Bulgarian forced to forfeit the match in the third set due to his own injury.
‘He got very lucky, yeah,’ Murray said. ‘Two sets down and 2-2 in the third and the guy tears his pec muscle, which is a random injury to get.
‘Sinner was struggling, not playing his best tennis, Dimitrov was playing well and was controlling the match. Sinner will be counting his lucky stars he’s still in the tournament and has a chance to win Wimbledon.’
Murray: Alcaraz is the man to beat at Wimbledon

Murray feels Spanish star Alcaraz, who has clinched the last two men’s singles titles in SW19, remains the ‘man to beat’ at Wimbledon this year.
‘For me personally, I think the longer Alcaraz goes in the tournament, the harder it becomes to beat him,’ Murray added.
‘It doesn’t feel like grass is Sinner’s best surface. With Djokovic, if he is to win another Grand Slam, Wimbledon is his best shot because he’s been so successful here and there’s so few players who play amazing grass-court tennis these days.
‘Having got through his match with Alex de Minaur and into the quarter-finals, he’ll be starting to feel he’s got a chance, being three matches from doing it.

‘It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out but I can’t look past Alcaraz. He tends to turn up in the big matches. I don’t see him getting to the semi-finals or final and laying an egg.
‘His level and his ceiling is so high. Alcaraz is the man to beat. He’s got more of an edge over Sinner than he’d have on a hard or clay court.’
While he believes Alcaraz will come out on top, Murray is adamant that 24-time major champion Djokovic – 38-years-old – cannot be ruled out either.
‘Djokovic has still got a crazy level of tennis in him,’ Murray continued. ‘It’s a question if he can use it at the right time to get himself over the line.
‘Last year, the one tournament he really wanted to win was the Olympics and he did it.
‘The rest of the year wasn’t his usual standard but the one tournament he prepared best for, he got it in the bag and if he is really desperate to win Wimbledon then he’s got the level to go do that.’
Murray was speaking to Metro via Lexus as part of their record breaking Served at Speed campaign.
