Cassie Ventura has made her return to social media after giving birth following the outcome of the trial against her former partner Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The American singer, 38, testified against Combs, 55. After two months in court he was found guilty of transporting Ventura for prostitution.
Combs was convicted for transporting Ventura and another former girlfriend, only known as Jane – he was found not guilty on charges related to racketeering and sex trafficking.
The two were in a long-term relationship between 2007 and 2018 – Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs in 2023, accusing him of engaging in a prolonged campaign of abuse and violence against her.
She was awarded a $20million settlement after a video, captured in 2016, surfaced online of Combs grabbing and beating Ventura in a hotel hallway.
Cassie was visibly pregnant throughout her emotional testimony during the rap mogul’s trial and gave birth to her third child with husband Alex Fine at the end of May 2025.
Her last proper post on Instagram was made in April 2025, with her account lying dormant as the trial unfolded, but she returned with a new post on Thursday night.
Posting to her Instagram story, she shared a video that features a group of people standing still while one man, in a smart shirt, begins to dance like nobody’s watching.
‘When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum,’ the caption read, while the song selected in the background was DJ Khaled’s 2017 hit with Rihanna, Wild Thoughts.

The name of her two-month-old son has not yet been revealed – her two other children with Fine are five-year-old Frankie and four-year-old Sunny.
Ventura and Fine first began dating in 2018, around the time she split from Combs, and got engaged and married in the space of a month during the summer of 2019.
According to reports in America, the Me & U singer was rushed to hospital to give birth just days after testifying against Diddy in one of the most high-profile court cases of 2025.

TMZ reported that she gave birth slightly earlier than her originally planned due date, but that mum and baby were both ‘healthy and doing well’ in the aftermath.
Ventura announced that she was expecting a baby girl with MobLand actor Fine in June 2019 before welcoming baby daughter Frankie Stone together.
In March 2021, they introduced daughter Sunny to the world, before confirming that their third child together was on the way earlier this year.
Speaking about his wife after the Combs trial, Fine shared a message of support, telling fans: ‘Over the past five days, the world has gotten to witness the strength and bravery of my wife freeing herself of her past.
‘‘I have felt so many things sitting there. I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass. I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her.’
