US Open fans call for Bryson DeChambeau to be DISQUALIFIED as he appears to forget the rules of golf in bizarre video

US OPEN fans think Bryson DeChambeau should be harshly disqualified after a rules mix up.

Last year’s champion got off to a nightmare start at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania today.

The referee was forced to intervene

On the 621-yard fourth hole, his second shot landed in a group spectators making their way across the course.

As the ball could have been interfered with, he was granted relief that allowed him to drop the ball within an area of the fairway that the referee deemed fair.

DeChambeau told his caddie to pick the ball up as he worked out where best to play from.

But in an unusual U-turn, the world No10 decided he was happy with where the ball originally landed.

Though the referee informed him that because he picked it up, he would now have to move it back up the fairway or get hit with a penalty.

DeChambeau found a place that was OK and asked: “This is probably closest right ma’am?”

But amid the confusion, he appeared to forget the rules by PLACING it on the floor instead of a drop.

The American, who had got himself into a real muddle, muttered “that was dumb” as the official intervened again.

DeChambeau’s error was not punished and he was allowed a second chance at dropping the ball correctly.

Some fans called for brutal action, with one saying: “Should be penalty strokes.”

Another wrote: “Penalty DQ now.”

A third commented: “He should be penalised others would have.”

But others disagreed, saying: “It’s obvious it wasn’t intentional.”

A second added: “The ball was not in play. He corrected the mistake, if he hit the placed ball different story.”

Sky Sports commentator Tony Johnstone reacted: “That’s a first. In 45 years as a pro I’ve never seen a professional take a free drop and PLACE the ball by mistake. How strange.”

Kaleb is also a well known farmer[/caption]

Speaking about any potential collaborations, Will told us: “I would never say never! You know, I do get on with Caleb. I think he’s an amazing, amazing guy who has done amazing things for the farming community.”

The star, who is working alongside WDW Bingo, continued: “At the moment there are no talks. Obviously, he’s got a show with Jeremy Clarkson, which is a huge, huge success, where I think a lot of his time is probably going but hey, in the future, maybe a podcast. Who knows!”

Will currently has his own podcast with girlfriend Jessie Wynter, who he met in the villa, called Agree to Disagree.

Kaleb has just appeared in the fourth series of the Amazon show and has a huge fanbase which has led to a nationwide tour and his own book.

Will and Jessie have defied sceptics and have remained together despite her originally being from Australia.

She moved to Buckinghamshire to live with Will and regularly helps out on the family farm.

He previously told Country Living: “It’s wonderful to have someone to share this life with. She quickly adapted to the lifestyle because she grew up in rural Tasmania, which is even more remote. She was shocked we had neighbours.”

And he added that he would never give up farming for showbiz, saying: “By the end of the show, I couldn’t wait to return home to feed the animals. I left the sunny South African villa and jumped straight back into my muddy wellies.”

‘This is ridiculous now’ people cry as Asda start selling Christmas favourite SIX and a half months before the big day

ASDA has left people baffled after shoppers spotted a Christmas favourite back on shelves – despite it being only June.

It may be just the start of the glorious summer season – but that hasn’t stopped Asda from already stocking festive treats.

The overwhelming majority of Britons believe that even September is too early for Christmas-related items to be sold, a new poll revealed[/caption]

The major supermarket recently left customers gobsmacked after they started selling a Christmas staple six months before the big holiday.

The mega retailer has since come under fire, with confused shoppers branding the move ”ridiculous”.

One stunned customer, Chrissy Travers, from Newcastle upon Tyne, took to Facebook after she spotted mince pies back in stock.

The four-pack of the festive treat was going for a mere 15p, down from 31p, costing foodies less than 4p per mince pie.

However, despite the sweet deal, Asda customers were anything but impressed.

According to a 2024 study, the overwhelming majority of Britons believe that even September is too early for Christmas-related items to be sold, Ipsos reported.

The report revealed that 83% believe that September is too early for Christmas turkeys, 80% reckon it is too early for Christmas puddings, and 79% think it is too early for Christmas jumpers and festive decorations.

Three quarters of those who took part in the survey said it is too early for mulled wine (76%) and mince pies (75%).

Meanwhile, a staggering 64% believe it is too early for presents, but three in ten (30%) think September it’s the right time to begin buying them.

As we’re still months away from September – and the festive season – furious social media users slammed the mega supermarket.

Close to 70 people gave Chrissy’s post a like, as dozens of members of the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group flooded to comments to share their thoughts.

One Facebook user joked: ”I’ll get our Christmas tree out the loft.”

”I know every year they start putting Christmas stuff out earlier and earlier but that is ridiculous,” someone else chimed in.

How to save at Asda

Shop the budget range

Savvy shopper Eilish Stout-Cairns recommends that shoppers grab items from Asda’s Just Essentials range.

She said: “Asda’s budget range is easy to spot as it’s bright yellow! Keep your eyes peeled for yellow and you’ll find their Just Essentials range.

“It’s great value and I’ve found it has a much wider selection of budget items compared to other supermarkets.

 Sign up to Asda Rewards

The savvy-saver also presses on the importance of signing up to Asda’s reward scheme.

She said: “Asda Rewards is free to join and if you shop at Asda you should absolutely sign up.

“As an Asda Rewards member, you’ll get exclusive discounts and offers, and you’ll also be able to earn 10% cashback on Star Products.

“This will go straight into your cashpot, and once you’ve earned at least £1, you can transfer the money in your cashpot into ASDA vouchers.

We’ve previously rounded up the best supermarket loyalty schemes – including the ones that will save you the most money.

Look out for booze deals

Eilish always suggests that shoppers looking to buy booze look out for bargain deals.

She said: “Asda often has an alcohol offer on: buy six bottles and save 25%.

“The offer includes selected bottles with red, white and rose options, as well as prosecco. There are usually lots of popular bottles included, for example, Oyster Bay Hawkes Bay Merlot, Oyster Bay Hawkes Bay Merlot and Freixenet Prosecco D.O.C.

“Obviously, the more expensive the bottles you choose, the more you save.”

Join Facebook groups

The savvy saver also recommends that fans of Asda join Facebook groups to keep in the know about the latest bargains in-store.

Eilish said: “I recommend joining the Latest Deals Facebook Group to find out about the latest deals and new launches in store.

“Every day, more than 250,000 deal hunters share their latest bargain finds and new releases.

“For example, recently a member shared a picture of Asda’s new Barbie range spotted in store.

“Another member shared the bargain outdoor plants she picked up, including roses for 47p, blackcurrant bushes for 14p and topiary trees for 14p.”

A former employee said: ”Having worked in Asda bakery I can guarantee they were clearing out the freezer in backup & came across a box left over from Xmas.

”Manager told them to bake them & sell cos it’s better than wasting them off.”

”I’m confused,” another social media user was baffled.

And it turns out, Asda isn’t the only retailer getting ready for the holiday, as one person claimed: ”Yesterday I saw Christmas lights at B&M. I had to check the calendar to make sure I wasn’t crazy!”

Man Utd ‘make contact with Eintracht Frankfurt for Hugo Ekitike as they rival Chelsea for £85million transfer’

MANCHESTER UNITED have made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt to register an interest in Hugo Ekitike, according to reports.

Liverpool and Chelsea are also thought to be interested in the 22-year-old striker, who has four years left on his deal.

Manchester United have entered the race for Hugo Ekitike

According to Sky Germany, the Red Devils have “made contact” with the Bundesliga side.

It is understood United are exploring the conditions of a potential deal for Ekitike with Frankfurt demanding around £85m (€100m).

It won’t be an easy deal to get over the line with Chelsea also thought to be in the running to sign the French bagsman.

Ekitike, who scored 15 goals and registered eight assists in the league this season before helping Frankfurt secure Champions League football with a third place finish, won’t come cheap.

United have already splashed £62.5million on out-and-out No.9 Matheus Cunha, who was formally announced today.

But as they continue their rebuild under Ruben Amorim, United will likely dip their toe in the market for another goalscorer this summer following a horror campaign that featured just 44 goals in 38 Premier League games.

The news around United and Ekitike comes after it emerged that Arsenal made their first concrete bid for wantaway Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.

A report from Portuguese publication Record claims the Gunners made an offer for the 27-year-old Swede at a meeting in Spain on Wednesday.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

United desperately need attacking reinforcements, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee having endured a poor campaign at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have been linked with a number of names, including Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko and Liam Delap, who has already joined Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Premier League champions Liverpool registered their interest in Ekitike in May, but the long-running saga over a move for Florian Wirtz means a move to Anfield is still on the table.

The Reds are making tweaks with rumours that Darwin Nunez could be swapping Merseyside for the Middle East this summer.

United must raise funds by selling players before sanctioning further incomings beyond Cunha.

Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia are among the first-team players in the shop window as Amorim hosts a summer clearout.

But no European commitments offers United the opportunity to trim the squad without necessarily requiring replacements, which should spark a ruthless approach to exits.

“I decided to do it and I got talking to a slightly older actress and I said, ‘it’s the first time away from my baby’.

“She asked how old was my baby and I think I said, ‘oh 18 months’, and she was like, ‘oh…’

“I said to her I’m still breastfeeding so I’m pumping and everything and she was like, ‘oh, you are not going to be one of those mums, are you?’.”

Reacting with a shocked look, Ali continued: “Me being me, I just froze and I didn’t say anything!”
