TEMPLEGATE takes on Saturday’s racing confident of slamming in some winners and building the bank for Royal Ascot.

ALSAKIB (3.00 York, nap)
He rose through the staying ranks last season and put in his best effort at this track. He ran well on his comeback in the Yorkshire Cup last month and can improve from there.
HOLD A DREAM (2.40 Sandown, nb)
He’ll enjoy dropping to five furlongs after showing lots of pace at Newbury last time but just failing to get home. That was his turf comeback and there’s more to come.
HEATHEN (2.25 York, treble)
He runs off a much lower mark on turf compared to the all-weather and can make the most of it under experienced pilot Serena Brotherton.

A reader counters five of the most common criticisms against the Nintendo Switch 2, arguing that concerns about its pricing and lack of games are overstated.

Benfica continue to be linked with re-signing Felix but Rui Costa says the Portuguese club are a ‘long way’ from that deal due to the forward’s transfer fee and salary with Chelsea.

‘Every year I get asked this question. If we could bring back players from our academy, who have the quality and prominence that a player like Joao has, we would all like that, all Benfica fans would like that,’ Rui Costa said on Friday after Benfica arrived in the United States ahead of their Club World Cup campaign.
‘We have to understand two things. The players are not free, they have very high contracts with the clubs and very high transfer fees.
‘The amounts involved, both in transfers and salaries, are very high and we have to respect that part.
‘Benfica wants all the great players. Joao is an excellent player. It is a long way from there until we bring Joao back, I can’t say much more than that.
‘There is no way I can come close to thinking that it is possible.
‘For signings, we will have our targets referenced. We want to build a Benfica -style team, but the focus is the Club World Cup, which has to be a great source of pride.’

LOVE Island star Gabby Allen is being ‘lined up’ for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
The fitness enthusiast and personal trainer, 33, is said to be keen to “push herself to the limit” on the Channel 4 show.
Gabby Allen is being ‘lined up’ to appear on Celebrity SASInstagramAll Stars winners Gabby and Casey O’Gorman split last monthInstagram @gabbydawnallengabbydawnallen/InstagramA source said Gabby is ‘fit as a fiddle and keen to push herself to her physical limits’[/caption]
A show insider said: “Gabby has had meetings with bosses to do the Channel 4 show and it looks like she is a shoo-in to do it.
“She’s really keen, she’s fit as a fiddle but she’s keen to push herself to her physical limits to see what she is capable of.
“After her split with Casey, she’s just wants a new challenge and she’s also excited by the idea of showing TV viewers a different side to her outside the villa.”
The Sun has contacted a rep for Gabby and Channel 4 for comment.
The gruelling C4 show sees the physical and mental capabilities of celebrity contestants tested to the extreme as they attempt to pass the notoriously difficult SAS Selection test.
Gabby could follow in last year’s winner and former Love Island star Georgia Harrison’s footsteps.
Reality star and campaigner Georgia and professional boxer Lani Daniels were the two celebrities who passed the selection process and were named winners.
A source said: “Casey and Gabby have both decided to part way. They had a really good relationship and enjoyed each others time but the reality is that they are focusing on different things and they both have realised that.
“Neither of them have parted ways badly but they just knew it wasn’t going to work anymore.
“Both have confided in quite a few friends about this and so it’s not really a secret in their circles, but they’ve made the decision to part ways this week.”
“But do you know what it is? It’s all this like noise of, ‘When are you going to ask? When are you going to ask?’ I feel like I don’t want to now just ask it because people are saying it. I want to just do it.”

CHOCOLATE fans are dashing to Aldi as the budget supermarket unveils a £3.99 version of the viral ‘Dubai-style’ chocolate bar.
Now available in Aldi stores across the UK, the 100g bar promises a rich and indulgent experience—without the luxury price tag.
AldiThe chocolate is part of Aldi’s Specialbuys range, meaning once it’s sold out, it may not return[/caption]
The treat features creamy pistachio layers and crunchy kadayif pastry, all wrapped in silky milk chocolate. Inspired by a viral hit that exploded on social media, the chocolate has already caused a stir online.
AldiUK teased the launch on Facebook, writing: “THIS IS NOT A DRILL. The Dubai Style Chocolate Bar lands in store tomorrow! Will you be picking one up.”
Fans flooded the comments with excitement. One wrote: “More temptation.”
Another added: “You knocked it out of the park with this. Absolutely amazing.”
A third asked: “Hey dear Aldi, are these a special or permanent fixture? Xx”
The chocolate is part of Aldi’s Specialbuys range, meaning once it’s sold out, it may not return.
With no buying limit, shoppers are expected to stock up quickly.
This isn’t the first time retailers have tried to cash in on the Dubai chocolate craze.
Lidl’s JD Gross version flew off shelves, and Waitrose offers a similar pistachio white chocolate bar for £2.75. Morrisons stocks its own version—Bolci Dubai Chocolate—for £5.
The trend shows no signs of slowing down, as chocolate lovers continue to seek out these premium-style treats at lower prices.
If you’re keen to try one, it’s worth getting to your local Aldi early to avoid disappointment.
As word spreads, demand is expected to spike.
To get the best deal, savvy shoppers are encouraged to compare prices using online tools like PriceSpy, Google Shopping, or Idealo.
These platforms let you check price histories and spot deals across retailers.
SAVE MONEY AT ALDI
Grabbing hot Specialbuys like this chocolate bar is just one way to save at Aldi.
The discount chain frequently tops Which? rankings for the cheapest supermarket, offering consistent value for everyday essentials.
In April, a typical basket of 79 items cost an average of £135.95 at Aldi—cheaper than rivals including Lidl and Tesco.
Bargain hunters should also keep an eye out for Aldi’s red sticker items, usually marked down in the morning.
These offer major discounts on products close to their sell-by date or with minor packaging damage.
Aldi’s budget-friendly alcohol selection is another way to save, with own-brand options often coming in much cheaper than big-name labels.
Don’t forget about Too Good To Go “Surprise Bags”, available in selected stores.
These offer a low-cost mix of near-date groceries that would otherwise go to waste.
How to save money on chocolate
We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…
Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.
Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

1 day agoNew York StateComments Off on Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher FINALLY finalise divorce after toxic split as they carve up £120m fortune
SACHA Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have finalised their £120 million pound divorce – 14 months after publicly announcing their separation.
In a message, posted simultaneously on both their Instagram sites on Friday , the pair said: “Our divorce has now been finalised.
GettySacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have finalised their divorce[/caption]
The pair announced their split over a year ago with a funny postSacha and Isla shared the same statement today
“We are proud of all we’ve achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children.
“We ask for the media to continue to respect our children’s privacy.”
Baron Cohen and Fisher first met in 2001 and married in 2010. They were believed to have one of the strongest marriages in showbusiness – before quietly separating in 2023.
They then publicly announced their break-up the following year.
They appear to have amicably resolved any differences there might have been between them.
This is despite previous suggestions the couple’s divorce may have been turning acrimonious as they carved up their estimated eight-figure fortune.
A source said: “It’s all sorted. Now Sacha and Isla both just want to get on with the rest of their lives – and focus on their family’s well-being.”
Baron Cohen, 53, and Fisher, 49, – who have three children together – first met at a party in Sydney, Australia in 2001.
Speaking of their first encounter, Baron Cohen recalled that Fisher was “hilarious”.
He remembered: “We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people at the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did.”
The pair announced the separation last year with a picture of themselves wearing tennis whites, noting: “After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.”
“We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
Baron Cohen also became embroiled in some controversy last year when Australian actress Rebel Wilson accused him of inappropriate behaviour during filming of the 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby, where they played a slovenly married couple.
However, the publisher had not fact-checked the claims in advance – and they lacked substance.
Baron Cohen’s legal team then supplied video footage of one scene in question, plus email exchanges, script excerpts and testimony from producers and crew members, which illustrated that the scenes were actually all part of the script. As a result, the unfounded claims were removed wholesale from the autobiography in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
In a statement at the time, Baron Cohen said: ‘While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.’
Baron Cohen first rose to fame in the 1990s with his Ali G character, the infamous spoof wannabe gangster who became a comedy star.
He also starred as Borat, a journalist from Kazakhstan, and played the role of flamboyant Austrian fashionista Bruno.

GettyThe pair first met in 2021[/caption]
Fellow actor Fisher appeared as Shannon Reed in long-running Australian soap Home and Away before moving to the big screen.
Her breakthrough role came in Wedding Crashers in 2005, and she also starred in Confessions of a Shopaholic. She has also had a series of children’s books published.
Speaking earlier this year of their break-up, Fisher said: “It’s the most difficult thing that I’ve been through and I’ve learnt so much about myself in the process. I never imagined my family being separated but we are committed and loving parents.”
Suggestions last year that the timing of the separation may have been linked to Wilson’s unfounded claims also proved wrong – in fact Baron Cohen and Fisher had separated long before Wilson’s book was published.
A film source said: “The idea that Rebel’s claims had anything to do with the timing of the separation or announcement of Sacha and Isla’s break-up was always plain wrong.”
GettyThe pair denied Rebel’s claims had anything to do with the split[/caption]
All the signs Isla and Sacha had secretly split
The couple have revealed they actually split last year, despite only just revealing their divorce.
Social media silence – Sacha has been absent from Instagram since last Christmas.
Spending time with friends – Isla has been been following that classic post break-up move of spending more time with her girlfriends.
Hidden ring finger – No fans noticed at the time, but in many Instagram shots from this year, Isla has hidden her right hand so her wedding finger was not visible in many shots.
Missing man – The last image Isla shared of her and Sacha prior to the divorce announcement was back in November last year.
