Matthijs de Ligt has missed Manchester United’s Premier League match against West Ham due to injury.

Ruben Amorim has made three changes to the starting line-up that beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Matheus Cunha returns after missing the last two games due to a head injury, with Mason Mount dropping to the bench.

In defence, Ayden Heaven has been handed his first start in the Premier League this season and replaced De Ligt, who misses out through injury.

Noussair Mazraoui replaces Leny Yoro, who is named as a substitute.

Speaking on Wednesday, Ruben Amorim revealed he had two injury concerns for United’s game against West Ham, one of which has now turned out to be De Ligt, but suggested both players were not completely ruled out.

‘We have two doubts for the game,’ Amorim said.

‘I will not tell you today because we will change the way we are going to approach. Let’s see if they can play tomorrow.’
