Chargers Player Who Slapped Travis Kelce Has Taylor Swift-Themed Message

Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman Teair Tart wasn’t done trolling Travis Kelce Sunday following his team’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Brazil Friday night.

Tart, who had one tackle and batted down a pair of passes in the 27-21 victory, made headlines to slapping Kelce across the facemask during a brief third quarter altercation between the two.

The veteran defensive tackle was assessed a 15-yard penalty for his actions, but that didn’t stop Tart from trolling Kelce with the iconic Rick James slap joke from Chappelle Show on Instagram after the game.

On Sunday, Tart went back for more–and this time he got Taylor Swift involved.

Tart shared a series of photos from the game in an Instagram post and also added in a slide featuring video from the comedy movie How High.

In the scene, a character gets slapped in the face.

“I’m too swift with it even in Brazil…” Tart captioned the post for good measure.

Too much Tart for Taylor fans

Tart’s trolling elicited mixed reviews. Some people, who presumably either hate the Chiefs or are tired of the Kelce-Swift storyline (or both) appreciated it.

“Kelce deserves it button👉🏾x2,” one person commented.

“Thank you -from Everyone,” added another.

However, Swifties were unsurprisingly less than pleased.

“Nice attempt at being relevant by putting down a widely successful woman,” one person said.

“Love that we swifties are making you and your ego hurt so much. Girl power ig 💅🏼,” a second commenter wrote.

“Cool, bro. Wanna tell us when the Chargers last held a Lombardi too?” a third person added.

Chiefs looking to bounce back

We’ll see if Tart gets a fine for slapping Kelce. The possibility of one doesn’t seem to be bothering him.

As for Kelce, who caught a 37-yard touchdown in the Chiefs’ Week 1 loss, he and his Kansas City mates will look to get their first win of the season at home this Sunday in a Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
