Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Denise Richards recently confessed she still has feelings for the Two and a Half Men alum.
“I still love him,” Richards said during part two of Sheen’s Netflix doc, aka Charlie Sheen.
Sheen sat down with Bill Maher for an appearance on Maher’s podcast, “Club Random,” where he reacted to his ex’s comment.
“I also remember from the documentary, Denise Richards saying…” Maher began, before Sheen interjected, “I was a little shy?”
“He’s not at all what people think,” the host continued.
The actor admitted her comments were “nice to hear.”
When Maher added, “She obviously still loves you,” Sheen did not disagree. “Love is eternal. Passion is often not,” Maher continued.
Richards and Sheen began dating after she appeared on an episode of his sitcom Spin City in 2001. After tying the knot in 2002, the pair welcomed daughters Sami and Lola before divorcing in 2006.
“As soon as [Two and a Half Men] started getting really successful, I think the pressure of that changed him. It was almost like he was sabotaging the success and sabotaging our family,” Denise said during her appearance in the Netflix documentary. “The truth is, I feel like my life with Charlie is three stages. It’s the time I met him and married him, then my divorce. Then the aftermath of it.”
