
Chelsea are weighing up an offer for Xavi Simons after finally agreeing a deal with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho.
After weeks of talks, Chelsea have reached a compromise to sign Garnacho in a deal worth £40m.
The Blues are now considering an offer for Netherlands international Simons, who is closing in on a move to London rivals Tottenham.
Chelsea were believed to be the frontunners to sign Simons from RB Leipzig and have already agreed a deal with the Dutchman.
But Chelsea are waiting for outgoings before sanctioning a move for Simons, giving Spurs a head start in transfer negotiations.

Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal with Leipzig after submitting an offer worth £60m.
While Simons was pushing to join Chelsea, he is believed to be equally excited about a move to Spurs.
But while a deal is yet to be struck Chelsea still have hope of beating Tottenham to the transfer and the Blues will consider matching Tottenham’s offer after wrapping up a deal for Garnacho.
