In the formal ceremony of the inauguration of the hangar, García Vales reported that in this new space they will carry out private and public services of category 3, they will provide service to class 1 and 2 gliders, class 1 and 2 propellers and specialized services, it will have a paint shop, repair of radios and engines and storage of training aircraft from the Solo Vuela Aviation School.
“This first hangar is a confirmation of the vision that the company Servicios Aéreos Ciclo (operator of the Chichén Itzá airport) has to be a platform open to the aerospace industry with three very clear positions: 1) passengers and tourism, 2) air cargo and industry, and 3) provision of aerospace services,” García Vales detailed.
“We are landing a cluster to boost the region’s aeronautical sector. This airport has the capacity to receive 500,000 passengers a year and with its 2.8 kilometer runway, it has increased its operations by close to 300% in the last two years.”
At the inauguration were the Secretary of Economy and Labor, Ermilo Barrera Novelowho highlighted that the Chichen Itza airport It is a strategic point for the region and has begun its positioning at the national level.

The school has the Cessna 150, Cessna 182, Cessna 206 and Piper Seneca II aircraft.
