For college students, excitement is heavy in the air as they begin to ready themselves for the start of a new semester. And as if that wasn’t already thrilling enough, a beloved fast food restaurant has just announced an offer that’s available exclusively to college students.
This week, Chipotle revealed that starting tomorrow (August 20), it will launch the first-ever college rewards program. Titled Chipotle U Rewards, the program was created to “recognize and celebrate students at various milestones of their higher education journey.”
As a Chipotle U Rewards member, you can expect everything from surprise drops during finals to graduation giveaways. Students who enroll in the rewards program will receive 1,000 bonus points upon signing up and will earn 20 percent more points on every purchase.

“With the introduction of Chipotle U Rewards, we’ve created a new personalized digital experience for Gen Z students who are craving real food and real value,” said Curt Garner, President, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, Chipotle, in a statement. “Chipotle has long been a go-to destination for students’ celebratory meals, and now members will be given special offers that tie to specific milestones throughout their college journey.”

In addition to launching the Chipotle U Rewards program on August 20, the restaurant will also drop it’s “A Little Extra” Dorm Collection with Urban Outfitters. The cozy collection will include everything from a Chipotle “Water” Cup Tumbler ($16) to a Chipotle Burrito Throw Blanket ($99).
