Right wing commentator and MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk was shot last week in a fatal attack on campus in Utah – and the reaction from all sides of the political spectrum has erupted division. If we were divided before the suspect shot Charlie Kirk, the split down the middle in how people are processing the news and the political warfare its created has well and truly made that divide vast. Yesterday, I named a load of celebs who’ve really upset their queer and left wing fans with overly sentimental to Charlie Kirk – who was a political figure with views a lot of us found deeply hurtful. Now, though – here are the celebs known for getting dragged who have once again put their foot in it with tributes for Charlie Kirk.
Chris Pratt
Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God’s grace. God help us.

Chris Pratt has been out of favour with most film fans for a while now, mostly since his association with a homophobic church and allegations of his right wing political leanings. His tributes to Charlie Kirk have been suitably glazed, with the first tweet being “Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God’s grace. God help us.”

Chris Pratt then posted a video online where he’s getting dragged for what people are calling his “prayer stunt” – which he did after getting dragged for his first post. He tells people to “turn their phone off and go outside.”
Amber Rose
Remember when Amber Rose used to be relevant and a bit of a pop culture icon? Yeah, well in 2024 she went hardcore Republican and after Kirk was shot she posted a lengthy statement about how he helped her before her RNC speech. A bizarre political pivot.
Jamie Lee Curtis
i imagine the question was “hi jamie lee curtis how are u doing today” https://t.co/dasnFAxZOs

Jamie Lee Curtis used to be a huge icon of mine but now it seems like a world event can’t happen without her saying the complete wrong thing and putting her foot in it. The Charlie Kirk situation is no different. During a guest appearance on the WTF podcast, Jamie Lee Curtis was literally holding back tears discussing Charlie Kirk and said “I disagreed with him on almost every point I ever heard him say, but I believe he was a man of faith, and I hope in that moment when he died, that he felt connected with his faith. Even though his ideas were abhorrent to me. I still believe he’s a father and a husband and a man of faith. And I hope whatever connection to God means that he felt it.”
Russell Brand
Russell Brand is one of the celebs you’d expect to be posting deranged Charlie Kirk tributes – and he of course said that he was a “good strange man”.
