The Federal Commission for the Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) and the Federal Health System, activated the Health Emergencies Attention Programthrough which they will carry out actions regarding basic sanitation, hygienic management of water and food, and health surveillancederived from the floods that have affected Veracruz, Hidalgo, Querétaro, Puebla and San Luis Potosí.
In this way, they deployed six brigades with specialized personnel in protection against health risks in each of these federal entities.
Furthermore, through the Federal Health System It has an operational force of more than a thousand 500 brigade members throughout the countrywhich is currently mobilizing crews to respond to the health emergency.

Until now, the Cofepris brigades have carried out the chlorination of more than 1,636, 320 liters of water; delivery of 2,340 bottles of colloidal payment; 459 determinations of water in supply systems for human use and consumption; 250 health risk assessments; 1,211 talks on basic sanitation and hygienic food handling with a reach of 8,902 people; delivery of 133 kg of calcium hypochlorite, and 1,310 disseminated materials.
Care is also provided in places such as health surveillance in temporary shelters and medical unitsliming and the destruction of decomposing food and medicines in poor conditions for ingestion. The brigades operate in conjunction with the General Directorate of Epidemiology (DGE) and the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CENAPRECE) as part of a comprehensive response from the Ministry of Health.
