Residents across Gauteng can expect a cold start to the weekend, with Johannesburg dropping to 4°C and Pretoria reaching a minimum of 6°C on Saturday morning. Daytime temperatures will rise to a mild 19°C in Pretoria and similar levels in other parts of the province.
Phemelo Zonke, a forecaster said, “Saturday will be mostly fine to partly cloudy with cold mornings and comfortable afternoons.”
Slight cooling on Sunday
By Sunday, the cold front passing through the Western Cape will influence Gauteng’s temperatures, particularly in southern and eastern areas.
“We expect cooler conditions over the southern high ground, but most of Gauteng will remain dry,” Zonke explained.
The province will enjoy predominantly fine skies, with only isolated cloud cover in some regions.
No major weather warnings for Gauteng
While damaging winds and disruptive rainfall are expected in other provinces, Gauteng will avoid severe weather conditions.
