APPLING, Ga. (WJBF) – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their deputies.
Deputy Jeremy Crookham was killed Wednesday, September 17th in an early morning car crash.
Reports say Deputy Crookham was headed north on Ray Owens Road near Crawford Place Road when his vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and hit a tree.
The Deputy was pronounced on the scene at 1:35 am.
Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Deputy Jeremy Crookham. We offer our prayers and sympathy to his family and ask the community to keep them in their hearts during this time of grief. His passing is a great loss for our agency and our community.
