EVANS, Ga. (WJBF)- The 25th annual BOOM! In the Park is here.
Bring your chairs and blankets as there will be a great lineup for you to enjoy.
To start the winner of The Voice Season 22, Bryce Leatherwood will be performing and headlining is the platinum-selling, award-winning country duo, Maddie & Tae.
Make sure you don’t bring tents, coolers, dogs or outside food or beverages.
Columbia County’s program and events manager tells me they added new security to ensure those items aren’t brought in.
“We have five entry gates. Four of them are located off of Evans Town Center Boulevard, right across from the park. So Market Street, Main Street, Anchor Lane and at the corner of Evans Town Center Boulevard and Ronald Reagan. We also have one at Ronald Reagan near our playground parking lot. So there’s five entry gates. They will have to come through and enter gate in order to enter the park,” said Janet Wheatley.
She also says more rules will be in place.
“We also implemented a new rule this year. If you are a juvenile, so that’s ages 16 and under, you are required to come with an adult. So one adult per four juveniles is basically how it goes and they have to be 21 or older that comes with those teenagers. We’re trying to make this event as safe and family friendly as we can.”
Admissions are free. Gates open here at 5.
