At a recent NASCAR race, comedian Druski had fans doing a double-take, unable to believe how far he went for a “white face” performance skit. The comedian, whose real name is Andrew Desbordes, was seen on the sidelines of the track dressed in overalls, an American flag cowboy hat, a mullet, and a beard.
But what caught everyone off guard was Druski’s realistic makeup from head to toe, painted in a Caucasian skintone. He also added a farmer’s tan and a few fake tattoos, like an image of an American flag on his left pec. The skit had Druski parading around as what can be described as a redneck character.
At the NASCAR race, he also used a thick, exaggerated Southern accent, tossing back a few Budweisers with other people in attendance, and blasting Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA.” It appears in the video that some attendees had no idea it was Druski in disguise.
The video on X that has gotten over 90 million views and 75 thousand retweets has gone viral, with some having mixed reactions to the skit and Druski’s makeup.

Some couldn’t help but be amazed at the level of seamless makeup that was used, and called for the makeup artist to get an award. Others compared the skit to Robert Downey Jr.’s satire comedy movie Tropic Thunder. The movie is often talked about due to Downey portraying a black character.
“This is Tropical Thunder levels of race swap. How did he make it look so good,” said one commentator on X.
Another commented, “Conflicted because it’s funny but also I kinda hate to see it. It’s hard enough as it is trying to tell people that you watch NASCAR without them either 1) giving you shit or 2) judging the hell out of you. We don’t need to promote the stereotype, yet NASCAR gave him VIP…”
Certain aspects of Druski’s skit were called “nuts” by commentators, especially how far the comedian was willing to go into the stereotype. He even, at one point, spat on the floor in the direction of a black attendee walking by. Many agree that Druski has always committed to his comedic videos.
