A cold front across South Africa will bring cool weather conditions and morning fog to Gauteng on Tuesday. Temperatures will dip into the single digits overnight.
Overnight temperatures in Johannesburg are forecast to drop to 8°C, with a daytime high of 17°C on Tuesday. Pretoria and Vereeniging are expected to remain slightly warmer, with highs around 20°C.
Forecaster Phemelo Zonke explained, “Tomorrow we do have a confrontation with other parts of the country, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers over the central and southeastern parts.”
Cool Week Ahead for the Province
The forecast for the rest of the week indicates a continuation of cool to cold conditions, with partly cloudy skies expected on Wednesday. While no severe weather warnings are in place for Gauteng, residents are encouraged to stay updated with daily forecasts.
Temperatures are not expected to rise significantly until later in the week.
“It will be cold to cool across most parts of the country, including Gauteng,” Zonke noted.
