Cooling shelters in the CSRA

CSRA (WJBF) – As heat continues across the CSRA, there are a number of cooling centers open across the area.

Richmond County has cooling shelters within several Recreation, Parks, and Facilities buildings. The sites and hours are listed below:

Burke County is opening the Burke County Recreation Department Gym as a cooling center now through Saturday.

Aiken County has a cooling center that is open daily.

    8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day.
