In the morning, the producers had said that the liberation of the taken roads and the lifting of the strike were actions “as a sign of good will and with the intention of opening the channels that have been closed.”
“We want to be very clear with all of you: This is not the final goal, but it is the beginning.”
They emphasized that the 950 pesos they offer per ton are not an agreement, but an imposition that solves nothing.

They assured in the face of the road blockade that they took these “extreme measures” out of “despair”: “The countryside lives a reality that the government does not want to see. It is a time bomb.”
“We make a direct call: To you, Madam President, with the strength that the earth gives us: it is time to take action and be part of the solution. As long as the presidential chair does not call and make the problem visible, we will continue to be ignored,” they declared.
