Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) hasn’t half been making a mess of things these past few weeks in Coronation Street, though that all looks set to come to an end when he makes a big decision regarding his future.
After actor Adam Hussain announced his departure as Aadi back in April, things began to ramp up for his alter-ego, and came to a head for Aadi on his the day of his dad, Dev Alahan (Jimi Harkishin) and Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazelgrove) wedding, when, following the bride’s hospital sojourn, Aadi came clean about the financial state he’d left Dev’s beloved Corner Shop in while left in charge.
Though his step-mum had planned to use the money Aunty Rani’s (Josephine Welcome) had offered to use for the wedding to clear his debts, their plan fell apart when Dev dismissed Rani when she read his bride-to-be for filth.
Drowning his sorrows, a drunken Aadi admits to Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), Dev and Bernie that he was responsible for the spiked drink that left her injured.

Dev decides to send his son to India for a fresh start and an opportunity to stand on his own two feet.
But before he can put any plans in place and after an afternoon of passion with Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), Aadi is arrested for the LSD incident.
As he’s bundled into a police car, Dev can only watch as Aadi is taken in for questioning.

Returning to No.7 with the news that he’s been let off with a caution, Aadi announces to Dad and sister Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) that he’s contacted his cousin Vikram and plans to depart for India imminently.
While Dev is proud of his son, Asha is silently gutted at the thought of losing her brother.
Can Aadi stay out of trouble until his departure? Or will he carry the cloud he’s been living under onto the plane?
