Coronation Street fans, brace yourselves, Eva Price is back, and it looks like there’s unfinished business with ex-boyfriend Adam Barlow. As tensions rise behind the bar at the newly acquired Rovers Return, Eva’s fresh start may already be falling apart, and Ben’s mum Maggie is not happy.
In upcoming scenes, Coronation Street sees the long-awaited return of fan favourite Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), and it’s nothing short of dramatic, complete with secrets, surprises, and a clash of powerful personalities. Oh, and someone dressed as a vampire. Naturally.
Surprise! Eva owns the Rovers
Outside the iconic Rovers Return, Eva’s new man Ben pulls off a huge romantic gesture, revealing he’s only gone and bought the pub for her.
Blindfolded and led to the surprise, Eva is visibly thrilled, and her joy only grows when she sees her sister Leanne waiting with open arms.
But not everyone on the cobbles is celebrating. Across the street, Maria watches the scene unfold in horror. The Rovers is under new management, and Eva Price is back in Weatherfield.
Leanne quickly runs off to fetch Toyah so the three can reunite and clear the air. But, in true Corrie fashion, things don’t go to plan…
A proposal shocker
As Leanne arrives at the bistro, she walks in on Nick on bended knee, in the middle of proposing to Toyah. Talk about terrible timing…
With emotions already high and old tensions bubbling just below the surface, this explosive love triangle is about to spill over, and not even Eva’s new pub is safe from the drama.
Back at the Rovers, Eva is relishing her new role until things spiral.
Toyah arrives at the pub and immediately goes for Leanne, in a furious outburst that leaves the whole room stunned. Fed up with the fighting, Eva orders everyone out, locks the doors, and demands that Toyah and Leanne finally sort out their differences.
But just when it seems like the chaos might be settling down, another bombshell drops: Ben’s mum, Maggie, arrives and coolly announces she’s moving in.
Trouble behind the bar
As Eva tries to regain control of her new domain, she proudly admires the new pub sign, with her name above the door.
But any illusions of authority are quickly shattered when Maggie drops the line:
‘You might be landlady, but I’m your boss.’
With staff members Sean, Glenda, Lauren, and Gemma left looking totally confused, the power struggle is on, and it’s clear Maggie has no intention of quietly fading into the background.
Eva and Adam… again?
As if that weren’t enough, Adam Barlow enters the scene, and Eva is clearly pleased to see him. She wastes no time in inviting him to the upcoming Halloween party at the pub.
But it’s at that very party where things take a turn.
Eva stumbles across a man dressed as a vampire in the back room and, assuming it’s Ben in costume, throws her arms around him. Only it’s not Ben. It’s Adam.
The moment is awkward. Adam hurries off, accidentally leaving his briefcase behind. Ben finds it amusing; however, Maggie does not.
Eva later comes clean to Ben, admitting Adam is an ex, but insists he has no reason to be jealous. Still, the moment raises eyebrows, especially Maggie’s.
Eavesdropping from the shadows, Maggie can’t resist a jab:
‘How many more skeletons has Eva got in the closet?’
Is there still a spark?
While Eva may be trying to convince herself and Ben that Adam’s just a face from the past, fans know better. The pair’s history is full on, and this chance reunion feels far from finished.
Could this accidental embrace rekindle something? Could Adam’s left behind briefcase come into play? And is Maggie right to worry that her son has no idea what or who he’s really dealing with?
What’s next for Eva?
With Coronation Street making it clear that Eva and Adam’s story isn’t over, fans are bracing themselves for the next chapter.
Whether Ben can handle the heat, whether Maggie meddles her way into destroying Eva’s big return, or whether Adam will walk back into Eva’s life for good, one thing’s certain: unfinished business is the name of the game.
