DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) was finally allowed to go back to active duty in recent Coronation Street scenes, and her first collar was one of her neighbours.
The detective sergeant was relegated to desk duty until she’d undergone a course of therapy, after her trauma caused her to make a mistake while on the job.
Today, having been reinstated, she was eager to get back to it and make her first arrest – though we weren’t expecting it to be quite so close to home.
While Lisa set about her day, across the street Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) was in a panic, having learnt that wife Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson) was refusing to let him have access to their kids.
This was because she blamed Theo for the vicious attack on her new boyfriend Noah, which had left him hospitalised.
Viewers will know that evil Noah subjected Theo to conversion therapy as a teenager, and has since used his family to spread propaganda about ‘traditional family values’.

In recent scenes, Theo opened up to Gary Windass (Mikey North) about the torture Noah had subjected him to, and Gary was determined to avenge his new friend.
Though he insisted he was just going to warn him off, Gary descended on the community centre with a hammer, only to be persuaded to take his revenge in a different direction by wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).
Unfortunately, their subsequent vandalism of the community centre only spurred Noah on to spread his vile hate further, and that night, while both Gary and Theo were out and unaccounted for, Noah was attacked.
The next morning, as Theo lamented to Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) about Danielle’s ruling over the kids, they were both surprised by a knock at the door.

However, it wasn’t a social call, but Lisa and her colleague there to arrest Theo for assault.
During his interrogation, Theo maintained his innocence, insisting that it had been a set up orchestrated by Noah, though Lisa revealed that they had received an anonymous tip off from someone else who put Theo in the vicinity of the attack.
Theo argued that Noah would be able to corroborate his innocence, until Lisa explained that he had been attacked from behind and hadn’t got a good look at his assailant.
As Lisa pointed out the motives Theo would have for the attack, he swore that he had been at home with Todd all night, though that wasn’t strictly true.
Regardless, Todd later confirmed Theo’s alibi, and he was released pending further investigation.

Theo assured Lisa that he hadn’t attacked Noah, and that it was clearly a set up by Danielle to stop him seeing his kids.
Later, Theo and Todd met up with Gary, who assured Theo that he had nothing to worry about. With a wink, he added that his hands were clean and everyone was a winner.
Left alone with Todd, Theo made it clear that he didn’t trust Gary and regretted getting him involved.
He also made more threats toward Noah and Danielle, swearing that if they tried anything else he wouldn’t be responsible for his actions. Will Theo resort to more violence?
