Former Coronation Street star Kate Spencer has confirmed in an adorable post that she’s pregnant with her first baby.
Actress Kate played the role of Grace Vickers in the ITV soap from 2019 until 2022. She was the ex-partner of Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell), and caused a lot of trouble during her visits to Weatherfield.
Grace and Michael split up in 2018. At the time, Grace was pregnant and then experienced a miscarriage, but failed to tell Michael this.
As a result, she chose to pretend her friend’s baby was their daughter, in an attempt to get revenge on Michael for his behaviour in the past.
In 2020, the baby’s real parents reported Michael for child abduction, leading to him learning the truth. Grace was sentenced to three months in prison and charged with fraud by false representation.
When Grace was released, she gave birth to a little girl called Glory. She got back with Michael, but it became apparent he was only using her for access to his little girl. Sly Grace blackmailed Michael’s parents, who eventually gave her £20,000.
They told Grace to exit Weatherfield with the money, but leave Glory with Michael.
She did just this, admitting that she never wanted to be a mother as she departed.
Away from life on the cobbles, Kate is married to her partner Paul Walker. They tied the knot in 2022 and now, they are getting ready to become parents for the first time.
In her Instagram post that confirmed the news, Kate can be seen with Paul holding an ultrasound photo.
The star, who is 29, wrote in the caption alongside: ’19 weeks of loving you, forever to go!
‘Hugely grateful, blessed and unbelievably excited to be welcoming the next generation of the Walkers into our family in March 2026.’
How wonderful, congratulations!
