AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – A new hotel could be coming to Downtown Augusta.
According to a sign posted, the new space could occupy the empty building at 1140 Broad Street. The sign suggests a potential demolition and reconstruction of a new hotel.

The Augusta Historic Preservation Commission is expected to hold a public meeting about the space on Sept. 25. at 5:30 p.m. at 535 Telfair Street in the Commission Chamber on the second floor.
