Mexico City, October 22 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo (CSP) reported this Wednesday morning, through the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT)and of the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu)that 66 percent of passenger trains is built on the existing right-of-way, for which he thanked communities y ejidos for your cooperation.

For her part, Edna Elena Vega Rangel, Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), said that collaborative work between communities and authorities is being carried out mainly through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT); the Railway Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF), and the Institute of Administration and Appraisals of National Assets (Indaabin).
Vega Rangel indicated that 1,607 properties have been released through direct contact with the population involved through assemblies, direct payments to private individuals and ejidatarios without the participation of any intermediary.
Néstor Núñez López, head of the Institutional Linkage and Heritage Unit of the SICT, reported that, as of yesterday, the release of the right of way on the AIFA-Pachuca Train is 93 percent; in Mexico City-Querétaro, 70 percent; in Querétaro-Irapuato, 85 percent; and in Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo, 71 percent.
Andrés Lajous Loaeza, from the ARTF, explained that the tenders have already been carried out for the track sections of the Querétaro-Irapuato trains and the Gulf of Mexico, which goes from Saltillo to Nuevo Laredo.
In addition, he indicated that yesterday the call for bidding for 47 trains that would provide the Mexico City-Irapuato and Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo rail service was published.
In 5 years, more than 3 thousand km of new trains will be built.

The tender for the Mexico City-Pachuca Train was awarded to the company CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive, according to the official. Lajous Loaeza indicated that this company has already started the design and manufacturing work of the units, so the first train will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2026.
In the case of the Mexico-Querétaro-Irapuato Train, the next tenders will be on October 23 for stations, stops and maintenance base. For the Gulf of Mexico Train, the Monterrey A Metropolitan Zone will be put out to tender on November 27; for the Monterrey B Metropolitan Zone, on October 29; for the Derramadero-García stations, on October 27; and for the Las Torres-Nuevo Laredo stations, on January 27, 2026.
Gustavo Ricardo Vallejo Suárez, Division General of the Army, highlighted that the Mexico City-Pachuca Train is contributing to the generation of 8,288 jobs and the Mexico City-Querétaro Train with some 8,416 jobs.
Regarding the construction of the Mayan Train loading infrastructure, the military official added that there are seven work fronts, whose work for the construction of the Palenque, Poxilá, Progreso and Cancún terminals has generated nine thousand direct jobs.
