It’s all anyone can talk about right now when it comes to RuPaul’s Drag Race and it’s outstanding All Stars 10 – the huge gap in filming between the start of the season and the semi final. Never before in a Drag Race season have we seen such a big gap and it’s really shocking seeing how much the queens have changed between the filming gap. Fans have been speculating about exactly how long it took for the gap and when the queens started filming again, and now, THANKFULLY, Cynthia Lee Fontaine has explained exactly how long the filming gap was for the All Stars 10 queens from when they first started their Drag Race journey again and to when the queens that advanced to the semi final came back to do more.
Cynthia spilled all at Roscoe’s
It was apparent as soon as the previews came out for the semi final that the gap between All Stars 10 filming for Drag Race was way more than the odd week or two. Some of the queens had undergone full transformations, notably Ginger Minj and Mistress Isabelle Brooks.
Speaking about the filming gap for All Stars 10 at a Drag Race viewing party at Roscoe’s, Cynthia Lee Fontaine explained in detail about when it all took place and how long the queens had.

Lydia B Kollins and Cynthia were asked about the filming length, and whilst Lydia didn’t remember exactly Cynthia had the dates on LOCK. Cynthia explained “So July 26th 2024 was the last day of filming [for the first brackets] and then April 2025 we filmed semi finals.
Naysha then says “So eight or nine months?” and Cynthia says “This is the first time they’re doing this format. So they structured this way in order to make it work but they didn’t know that a lot of these girls were into their medications for losing weight. They sent us an email saying you guys are going to wear the same confessional looks as last year 2024 – and we were like ‘no’. A lot of us, we lost weight. Even myself, I lost 28 pounds. Not Ozempic. No shade to anyone that used any medication, congratulations.
“Now future formats, they’re trying to do everything in two months.”
