D4vd has seen a surge in Spotify streams over the last week including one awkwardly-titled song.
The 20-year-old singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is said to be ‘fully cooperating’ with an investigation into the dead body found in a Tesla registered to him.
The body of missing teenager Celeste Rivas, 15, was found by Los Angeles police at an impound.
Following the identification, the star’s streaming numbers have risen with one song in particular getting an unfortunate surge in attention.
According to Chartmetric, on September 13 Burke’s 2022 track Romantic Homicide jumped 102 spots to number 42 in the Spotify Global Top 50.
In the US Top 50, it’s risen 60 spots to number 13, and has been streamed 1.7 billion times since it first dropped.

He gained 22,033 new followers last Saturday too, with 251.1% higher growth than usual, which brought him to 33.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Burke has also risen up the ranks on Spotify’s Global Artist Chart, going from 153 to 90, in between $uicideboy$ and Lil Baby.
He also saw a 620.3% increase in Instagram followers, with 25,160 newcomers bringing his total count up to 2.1 million, with 3.8m on TikTok and 2.2m on YouTube.
Despite the rising interest in Burke and his music, the remainder of his US tour has reportedly been cancelled amid the investigation.

The singer – who had already cancelled his Seattle gig on Wednesday – was due to perform two final shows in the US in San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as a show at the L.A. Grammy Museum on September 24.
As reported by Variety, tickets for the LA and Grammy Museum shows were removed from their websites, while TMZ had reported last night’s San Francisco gig would not be going ahead.
The status of his upcoming European tour is yet to be determined ahead of its opening night in Oslo on October 1, with planned shows in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and France.
Meanwhile, his debut album Withered: Marcescence, was due to get a deluxe edition re-release on Friday, but it hasn’t appeared on streaming platforms.

TMZ has reported his label Interscope took the decision to suspend the release and pause any promotional activity.
A missing person flyer, uncovered by CBS, showed that Rivas (a Lake Elsinore resident) went missing in April 2024, aged 13.
Her date of death is listed as September 8, when her body was discovered after authorities were alerted to a ‘foul odour coming from a vehicle’.
The cause of death has been ‘deferred’ pending further investigation.
No suspects have been identified by police, nor have any charges been laid at the time of writing.
