TV star and model Danielle Lloyd has blasted misinformation surrounding SPF online after her skin cancer diagnosis.
The former Miss Great Britain winner, 41, announced in February that she had been diagnosed with melanoma and needed a mole on her collarbone removed.
Danielle has recently been back in the hospital, needing to get a second suspicious mole biopsied and is waiting for results.
She has now warned about misinformation online when it comes to using SPF and sun protection, especially from influencers who might have a large following.
‘I think people giving false information is so bad,’ the Celebrity Big Brother star told The Sun.
‘People can use their platforms to spread it, but they don’t understand or they think they might have looked into it but they’ve just seen someone else telling lies.’

Danielle called it ‘really scary’ that misinformation can be spread so quickly, without any repercussions.
She praised UK regulations for blocking harmful products from being made readily available to ‘harm people’.
During a trip to Westminster, the TV personality was corrected about her misunderstanding that sunscreens were ‘full of toxins’ by the editor of Vogue.
‘She was like ‘”absolutely not”,’ continued Danielle. ‘I’m sure there are some out there that aren’t as good as others but if you get a reputable brand, they’re all good and safe to use.’
Sunburns increase the chance of skin cancer, according to the NHS, so using sunscreen is crucial for protection.

The diagnosis has completely changed Danielle’s approach to being in the sun, with the model now spending more time inside.
When she shared her diagnosis at the start of the year, she posted an emotional video on her Instagram.
‘I don’t really know how to say this and I didn’t know whether to come on and say it but I feel like I have to raise awareness of this happening to other people,’ she began.
‘Today I have been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer. And I just want to raise awareness for anyone who might think they’ve got something funny on their body, they see a mole that’s growing that’s not normal – please please please go to your doctor. You just never know.
‘I’m really shocked at what I’ve been told today but I’ve been really supported by the Macmillan nurses at the hospital. I am going to have to have an operation to see if it has spread.

‘But yeah, just honestly, not what I expected today. And I suppose not what anyone expects, but please guys look after your skin. Stay off sunbeds, wear factor 50. Just look after yourself because you never know.’
Danielle – who was crowned Miss England 2004 and Miss Great Britain 2006 – sparked concern last year when she shared a picture in a hospital gown.
She revealed she had undergone surgery after being rushed to A&E over bleeding and reassured followers that she was ‘alive and well’.
Afterwards, the Celebrity SAS star shared she had adenomyosis, a condition which causes endometrial tissue in the lining of the uterus to grow into the muscular wall.
