The 2026 Two Oceans Marathon has been confirmed to take place on the weekend of 11-12 April with the iconic race strapping on a fresh pair of shoes with Stillwater Sports appointed as official Staging and Commercial Partner.
The race will take place one weekend after the long Easter weekend.
For nearly half a century, the Two Oceans has been both a test of endurance and a postcard from Cape Town.
Its future, however, now lies in the hands of a team that knows how to turn a run into a spectacle.
Mass-participation events
Stillwater Sports, architects of some of South Africa’s most prestigious mass-participation events, have been handed the baton to not only stage the race but also amplify its commercial reach.
“The Two Oceans Marathon has a proud history, and this partnership marks a significant step forward in ensuring its future as a world-class event,” said Chris Goldschmidt, Chairperson of the Board of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC.
“We are confident that with Stillwater Sports’ proven expertise, alongside the continued support of Totalsports, the 2026 edition will set new benchmarks for excellence and inclusivity.”
That’s no small ambition.
For organisers, it’s an ultra of logistics with miles of planning, hydration, road closures, safety protocols, and the pressure of expectation from thousands of athletes across the globe.
‘Honoured’
Stillwater Sports, though, isn’t stepping onto unfamiliar ground.
Their reputation for innovation and precision has made them trusted stewards of mass sporting spectacles.
“We are honoured to be entrusted with the staging and commercial delivery of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon,” said Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports.
“This is a landmark event on the global running calendar, and with the backing of the Two Oceans Marathon Board, and Totalsports, our focus will be on delivering an excellent runner experience, and importantly increasing the runner value.

The challenge is clear: take an event already hailed as “the world’s most beautiful marathon” and make it even more compelling in an age where races play a crucial role in local economies and attracts global attention to showcase South African excellence
With entries opening in the months ahead, whispers of new features and runner benefits suggest that 2026 could be more than just another lap around the Peninsula, but an exciting new chapter of evolution and reinvention of the worlds most beautiful marathon.
