Dead Body Found Inside Tesla Belonging to Singer D4vd

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call about a Tesla emitting a foul odor, and what they discovered was a dead body. According to ABC7, police responded to a call at 12:30 p.m. Monday that led them to a tow yard in Hollywood, where they found an impounded Tesla.

Eyewitness News reported the 2023 Tesla was registered to David Anthony Burke, the 20-year-old Queens-born artist known as D4vd. Authorities learned the car was left at the lot for roughly five days before police were called, with the dead body stuffed into the front trunk inside a plastic bag.

The identity of the victim has not been confirmed or released to the public.

Aerial shots of the scene show the lot sectioned off with yellow police tape, as officers are seen making their way to a white canopy tent. Further details about the case are unclear, and D4vd’s connection to the victim is unclear. Eyewitness News contacted the singer’s reps with no response yet.

D4vd is currently on his “Withered” world tour and scheduled to perform in Minneapolis on Tuesday. The tour will end with a scheduled concert in Los Angeles on September 20.

The singer is originally from Queens, New York, before moving with his family to Houston, Texas. He began making montage videos of the video game Fortnite, before switching to make his own music to avoid copyright strikes. In 2022, he released the singles “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide” that became viral on TikTok.

In 2023, he released his debut EP titled “Petal to Thorns” through Darkroom/Interscope Records. The following year, he released five singles, including “Feel It,” which earned him a spot on the Billboard Hot 100. This year, he released his debut album Withered in April.
