After two weeks without winning, Deportiva Venados regained victory by beating the Tigrillos de Chetumal 3-0, in the activity of date 6 of Group One of the Professional Third Division League.
A double from Axel Benavides and one more from Mauricio Gatica gave the horned team the victory, on the field of the “Alonso Diego Molina” Stadium in Tamanché.
The deer team reached nine points, hoping to climb the Southeast Zone table, with one game less.
From very early on, Deportiva took control of the action and Axel scored 1-0 when he found the ball in front of the Chetumal goalkeeper, in a play from a corner kick in which Gatica headed the ball, leaving it to Benavides who, in a second attempt after crashing it into the goalkeeper, pushed it to the back of the net, at 18′.
With forcefulness and efficiency the score fell to 2-0 in the 24th minute. Aries Gutiérrez chipped the ball to filter it to Gatica who received it and turned 180 degrees to ignite the ball with a powerful right hand that left the visiting goalkeeper with no chance.
At 55, Axel scored again, appearing at the right time and in the right place to give direction to a goal from a ball combed by Alan Hernández in a free kick taken by Gutiérrez from the right wing.
In the middle of the week, Deportiva will travel to Toluca to play against the Tigres de Álica, in the grand final of the Promesas Cup. The match will be on Wednesday the 4th at 12 noon.
