A step up from the brand’s smaller 3/8-inch model, the DCF911B makes easy work of bolts and fasteners, especially those tougher, stuck-on ones, with its 400 foot-pounds of breakaway torque and 250 foot-pounds of fastening torque. Though it’s not quite pneumatic-level powerful, it’ll still hold its own with other models in a mechanics shop as an option for those harder-to-reach spaces like engine bays and crawl spaces.
It weighs just over two pounds, which is a breath of fresh air compared to larger high-torque models. But for a mid-sized impact wrench, this one actually holds and feels nicely balanced in the hand, thanks to the ergonomic design. For most of the jobs you’re likely to encounter, this is plenty of wrench.
