Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 3-4 cardamom pods
  • A 2.5 cm or 1 inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3-4 black peppercorns
  • 2 teaspoons black tea leaves or 2 black tea bags
  • Milk of your preference (to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup or agave sweetener, or another sweetener of your choice

Preparation mode

1.- In a small pot add the 2 cups of water and bring to high heat.

2.- Crush or grate the ginger and crush the cardamom to release its aroma.

3.- Add all the spices to the pot and bring it to a boil for approximately 7 minutes.

4.- Add the tea and continue boiling for about 3 minutes.

5.- Remove the pot from the heat, strain the liquid to discard the spices and return the infusion to the pot.

6.- Add the milk of your preference and the sweetener to taste, and boil the final mixture for about 5 minutes.

7.- Serve and enjoy.
