Dublin Airport has evacuated Terminal 2 as a ‘precautionary measure’, with passengers forced to stand outside as police monitor the situation.
Dublin Airport told Metro: ‘The safety and security of our passengers and staff is our absolute priority.
‘Passengers are being directed to designated assembly points, and we ask everyone to follow the instructions of airport staff.
‘Flight operations may be temporarily impacted, and we advise passengers to check with their airline for the latest updates.’
It’s unclear what prompted the evacuation, but one witness on the ground told Metro: ‘I was just in the customs/immigration queue before luggage claim when the announcement was made. Not sure where or what exactly the issue is yet.’

The evacuation comes after earlier today, flights across Europe were cancelled due to a cyberattack.
Airports in Brussels and Berlin have been hit, along with London Heathrow, and it is so far unclear how long the systems will be down.
