George and Elaine Knight (Colin Salmon and Harriet Thorpe) are more fractured than ever before, as one of them took the decision to cheat on the other.
The Walford residents love nothing more than a scandal, and something tells us that this will be a talking point for a long time to come…
Earlier this week, Elaine was gobsmacked to learn that her husband had spent Christmas evening in the company of his ex-wife Sabrina.
To make matters worse, she’d attempted to plant a kiss on him, and although George rejected her, Elaine couldn’t help but feel uneasy about the situation.
As she attempted to track him down, he found support from a very unlikely source – his other ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins)!
Elaine spotted their intimate conversation and assumed the worst, thinking that her husband had betrayed her yet again.
In the most recent instalment, which can be viewed online now, the scorned woman charged off to the cafe to fume about what she’d just seen. Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) chipped in her opinion, and told her that she needed to confront the situation head on.
However, by the time Elaine returned to the bar, both George and Cindy had vanished.
Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison) explained that they’d taken a bottle of wine and left, and that cemented to Elaine that she was no longer the only woman in George’s life.
What she didn’t realise was that Cindy had actually offered to walk him home to make amends.
Enraged, Elaine made her way to the downstairs bar and ordered a drink. She quickly received attention from another punter, an Irishman named Stephen (Luke McGibney), who wanted to buy her a drink.
She turned down his advances as an old face entered – drag queen Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton) – who had a lengthy affair with her first husband John prior to his death.

Brassy Drew encouraged her to spread her peacock feathers and find a man who would treat her like a queen. After all, it was only six months ago they had a very similar conversation.
Boosted by his words, Elaine approached Stephen and allowed him to join her for a tipple.
In a shocking twist, we later saw her leaving his apartment on Edward Road.
Big mistake Elaine!
And she realised that herself, as when she returned home to The Queen Vic, George was waiting to show his devotion.
He admitted that he should’ve told her about Sabrina, and set the record straight about his interaction with Cindy.
Something tells us that Elaine will regret this!
