“Operation Flow” was carried out by Mexican authorities, in collaboration with federal and municipal forces, derived from various investigations carried out by the Edomex Prosecutor’s Officeas well as in response to citizen complaints related to extraction, overexploitation, distribution, hoarding and illegal sale of water.
As part of this action, security elements intervened in more than 190 wells and water intakes, located in 48 Mexican municipalities; The searches were carried out simultaneously and began at 00:00 this Friday, October 24.

The Edomex Prosecutor’s Office detailed that, as a result of the investigations into the water huachicol in the entity, it was identified that these illicit operations could be orchestrated by organizations calling themselves “unions.”

Elements from the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office, the Mexican Security Secretariat, the Security and Citizen Protection Secretariat (SSPC), the Defense Secretariat (Defense), the Navy Secretariat (Semar), the National Guard (GN) and municipal police participated in “Operation Flow”.
