MÉRIDA.- A person lost his life inside a vehicle in the emergency area of a clinic located on the Perez Ponce Avenue on 56th Street, after feeling ill while being transported to receive medical attention.
According to the first reports, the incident occurred during the afternoon-night of Saturday, when the driver of a private car arrived at the hospital in an emergency with a passenger around 80 years old that presented health complications.
However, upon arriving at the scene, the medical staff found that the person no longer had vital signs.
Given the situation, the corresponding authorities were notified.
Elements of the State Police They responded to the site and proceeded to cordon off the area to preserve the scene.
For their part, agents of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) carried out the legal proceedings and removed the body.
So far, the identity of the deceased person and the exact cause of death have not been revealed.
The authorities continue with the investigations to clarify the facts.
