A source has claimed that influencer Emilie Kiser wasn’t trying to “withhold information” by filing a lawsuit asking for privacy after her son’s death.
Three-year-old Trigg sadly passed away on 18th May, six days after drowning in the pool at their home in Arizona, and it quickly turned into a “media frenzy”.
Emilie then sued Arizona officials to stop certain documents relating to the investigation from being released, including things like footage, police reports, scene photos, 911 calls, and the autopsy report.
Some people nastily assumed that Emilie was doing this to try and cover up information relating to the incident, but a source told the MailOnline this is completely “false”.
“Emilie has fully cooperated with investigators. The focus here is not on withholding information, but on safeguarding the dignity of a child and allowing a grieving family the space and privacy to heal,” they said.
The source claimed Emilie’s lawsuit was filed after hundreds of people sent requests to Maricopa County to see certain records, which “only serves to satisfy morbid curiosity more than any type of justice”.

“The motions behind the push for release are concerning. In many cases, requests appear to be driven by monetization and notoriety, not accountability. That is not a valid justification for invading a family’s grief.”
“Kiser should not be forced to relive the aftermath through viral footage,” the source added.
They went on to slam the “rabid fans and media” who have “surrounded Emilie’s home, filmed through her windows, and sent unsolicited packages” while she is trying to grieve her son’s death.
They said her public profile “does not negate her right to privacy” or make Trigg’s drowning a “matter for public consumption”.
On 4th June, the Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County granted the family temporary confidentiality, meaning no records relating to the incident will be released until the court makes its final ruling.
