The port of Ensenadain Baja Californiareached the visit of one million 9 thousand 128 passengers so far 2025thanks to the arrival of 270 cruise ships, which exceeded the total number registered in 2023, the governor reported Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda.
He pointed out that this achievement shows the strength and growth of tourism in the entity.
He said that in December 2023, with 320 cruise ship arrivals, this destination had, for the first time, the visit of more than one million passengers, which placed it as one of the three most important destinations in Mexico in this industry.

“Baja California continues to consolidate itself as a quality tourist destination thanks to the effort, hospitality and commitment of its people, who work every day to offer authentic experiences to our visitors,” he highlighted.
Ávila Olmedo commented that this achievement is due to the coordinated work between the state government, through the Ministry of Tourism, the Administration of the National Port System of Ensenada (Asipona) and the Ensenada city council.
Cruise tourism is a fundamental engine for the economy and development of Baja California, where for the second time in the current administration the figure of one million passengers per year is exceeded, which distinguishes the tourist vocation of the entity, said the state president.
