European scouts eye Kaizer Chiefs midfielder after Dutch Tour

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Nkosingiphile “Mshini” Ngcobo could be on the move after impressing scouts during the team’s pre-season tour to the Netherlands.

The 25-year-old Amakhosi youth product played only seven matches last season after falling down the pecking order. Ngcobo has been one of the few Kaizer Chiefs players who performed well in the Netherlands alongside Thabo Cele and Aden McCarthy.

Soccer Laduma reported that scouts were monitoring the Kaizer Chiefs midfielder during the pre-season tour

“The interest was shown while we were in the Netherlands. There were recruiters and scouts from a European team who enquired about Mshini. They were impressed with what they saw. There was nothing much because it was a pre-season camp but they are interested,” the insider told Soccer Laduma.

Kaizer Chiefs to lose another midfielder?

“It’s believed that at first, coach Nabi was not a fan for Nkosingiphile (Ngcobo), but apparently, now he has shown more belief in him and he seems to want to use him more. So, with this interest from Europe, this could mean a change in fortune for him as well (locally),” the second source told the publication.

Kaizer Chiefs could lose another midfielder in a space of days after parting ways with captain Yusuf Maart last week. Amakhosi have already signed Ethan Chislett and Siphesihle Ndlovu in the midfield but one feel the club will need Ngcobo’s energy in the middle of the park this coming season.

Should Chiefs sell Ngcobo?
