If you didn’t quite manage to live the Euro summer of your dreams and you fancy a getaway before 2025 is up, we bring good news: Eurostar has launched a flash sale across all of its destinations.
Tickets to city-break favourites including Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Lille, and Rotterdam will be £35 each way, with the discount automatically applied online.
But you’ll have to be quick, as the Eurostar flash sale 2025 is only on for six days, between September 5 and September 11 at 11.59pm.
Which destinations can you book tickets to in the Eurostar flash sale?

The sale offers discounted fares for travel to most destinations across the Eurostar network, to and from London St Pancras, but not all.

The cities eligible for £35 single tickets include Paris, Brussels, Lille, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam, but not those slightly afield, such as Cologne and Düsseldorf.
How cheap are tickets in the Eurostar flash sale?
The tickets for the Eurostar flash sale cost £35 for a single, which, in some cases, can equate to some fairly hefty discounts. These seats only cover the Eurostar Standard Class.
The cheaper tickets aren’t available every single day, and on the dates where the deal isn’t in place, like September 11, a single from London to Paris is currently priced at £150. This is £115 more expensive than Eurostar’s current offering.
There are similar deals in place for the return leg of the journey, too, as a ticket from Paris back to the Big Smoke on September 20 currently shows for £130, while September 21 also costs £150.
What travel dates do the discounted fares apply to in the Eurostar flash sale?
The discount is applied automatically to fares for travel between September 22, 2025 and December 17, 2025.

There are some ‘blackout dates’, though, where passengers won’t be able to get a discount. These are:
- London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord: September 26, October 3, October 17, October 23, October 24, October 25, November 1, November 2, November 11
- Paris Gare du Nord to London St Pancras International: September 28, October 18, October 19, October 25, October 26, November 1, November 2, November 8, November 9
- London St Pancras International to Brussels-Midi/Zuid/Lille: September 26, October 24, October 25, October 26, November 2, November 11, December 5
- Brussels-Midi/Zuid/Lille to London St Pancras International: September 28, October 3, October 5, October 19, October 26, October 27, November 2, November 30, December 7
- London St Pancras International to Rotterdam/Amsterdam Centraal: September 26, October 17, October 24, October 25, October 26, November 2, November 11
- Rotterdam/Amsterdam Centraal to London St Pancras International: September 26, September 28, October 3, October 20, October 24, October 27, October 31, November 28.
Due to engineering works, there are also no trains to both Rotterdam and Amsterdam on November 8, November 9, November 15, November 16, November 22, November 23, December 12, December 13, and December 14.
The return journey to London will also be impacted on the following dates: November 1, November 2, November 8, November 9, November 15, November 16, November 22, November 23, December 12, December 13, and December 14.
Are there any other ways I can get cheap Eurostar tickets?
Eurostar Snap is a spur-of-the-moment service where you can bag leftover tickets based on whatever seats are available last-minute.
You pick travel dates and a time slot (either before or after 1pm to or from London, or 2pm for all other destinations), then Eurostar picks the specific train times, which are sent to you via email 48 hours before travel.
Eurostar can get up to 50% discount, and you can even book tickets for up to three other people – although you’re unlikely to be sat together.
Bookings can only be made up to 14 days before travel on routes to and from London, or up to eight days before on all other routes. Routes include London and Paris, Brussels, Lille, Amsterdam, and Paris and Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne.
It’s worth bearing in mind, though, but if plans change, you’ll lose out on the cash. Snap tickets are non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable and non-cancellable.
A TikTok travel influencer also recently shared their hack for getting Eurostar tickets for free.
Competition for the Eurostar
For three decades, Eurostar has held a monopoly on passenger trains in the Channel Tunnel since it opened in 1994. But this year, new potential rivals have emerged, which could turn the game on its head.
Richard Branson’s Virgin Group announced there are ‘no more major hurdles to overcome’ in its £700million rail project to operate cross-channel trains.
The company made the positive claim after the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) confirmed that Eurostar’s Temple Mills maintenance depot could be used by other train operators.
In March, Gemini Trains unveiled their own plans to connect London St Pancras with Paris and Brussels. The firm said it planned to offer seats at prices that would rival Eurostar, and would include services from Ebbsfleet in Kent. It’s also since announced a partnership with Uber, who would co-brand the trains.
And Italy’s national state-owned railway company, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FS Group) has also said it will launch a new high-speed rail service between London and Paris by 2029 that would compete with Eurostar.
The group, which is a co-owner of Avanti West Coast, could extend the route to Marseilles, Lyon and Milan, and is also looking at a possible reopening of Ashford International in Kent.
Soon, travellers may also be boarding sleek, high-speed Uber-branded trains through the Channel Tunnel.
Stratford International is poised to become the launchpad for a planned fleet of 10 high-speed trains, offering direct journeys to Paris, Brussels, and Lille. Gemini Trains, a start-up chaired by Lord Tony Berkeley, has submitted its proposals to the rail regulator, aiming to begin cross-Channel services as early as 2029.
