Orlando Pirates have an invested interest in youth – the Jose Riveiro effect.
It appears its business as usual after Riveiro’s switch to Al Ahly as the Buccaneers eye 19-year-old’s Prince Ndlovu and Neo Rapoo.
“Highlanders FC value Prince (Ndlovu) and that’s why they are pricing him at around R15million,” a source revealed.
“For now this price is believed to be directed at South African team Orlando Pirates because apparently they are the ones who have enquired about his services. Highlanders believe it’s a fair price looking at his talent, quality and future ahead of him.”

Regarding Rapoo, the Buccaneers face competition from bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs. It remains uncertain as to what team the SuperSport United left-back prefers.
“Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are both keen to sign SuperSport United left-back Neo Rapoo ahead of the new season,” an inside source revealed.
“His performances as he led South Africa U20 to the Africa Cup of Nations title earned him interest in Scandinavia and the Gulf but sources as Matsatsansa have confirmed Chiefs and Pirates are both seriously after the player who is seen as future senior national team left-back.”
“With Orlando Pirates having released Paseka Mako and the retirement of Innocent Maela, their interest on the promising full-back comes as no surprise, while Chiefs are looking to remedy a position that has plagued them in the last couple of seasons.”
The teenage sensation has been making a name for himself this season, as well as on the international stage starring for Bafana Bafana’s youth team.
