The Fantastic Four: First Steps is heading home. On September 23, Marvel Studios will release the hit superhero epic on digital platforms. This means, starting next week, you’ll be able to purchase the movie as a VOD download at places like Fandango at Home, Google Play, Prime Video, and elsewhere.
And, ahead of that release, Men’s Journal is proud to present an exclusive deleted scene from the movie, one that adds a nice little moment for Ben Grimm, AKA The Thing, played beautifully by Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps “Birthday Sweater” Deleted Scene
Occurring toward the beginning of the movie, this deleted scene finds Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) still pregnant, chatting with Ben before liftoff of their spaceship, the Excelsior. This is before Franklin is born, and before the heroes face Galactus. But Ben is rocking his birthday sweater, which Sue gives him a little bit of grief about.
Ben also takes a break from working on the Excelsior, and that’s because he’s probably going to go see Rachel Rozman, Natasha Lyonne’s character. So, this deleted scene adds a nice little layer to Ben and Sue’s friendship, but also another nod to his crush on Rachel.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps DVD/Blu-ray release date
