After having launched justified attacks to combat drug trafficking in the waters of Venezuela and Colombia in the Caribbean Sea, the United States attacked this Tuesday, October 21, vessels manned by civilians off the Colombian coast, but in the waters of the Pacific Ocean.
This attack was confirmed by the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, who reported that the US military killed two people, bringing the deaths to 34 in the eight operations recorded since September.
In a post on the social network X, Hegseth defined the crew as “narco-terrorists” and showed a video of the moment the boat exploded. “Just as Al-Qaeda declared war on our homeland, these cartels are waging war on our border and our people. There will be no refuge or forgiveness, only justice”, he added, without giving details about the people or cargo on board the vessel, but adding that the order had been given by Donald Trump.
