Fans Love Ikea’s $30 3-Piece Knife Set That Comes With a Sleek Black Space-Saving Storage Block

Ikea is known for its customer-assembled furniture that’s both affordable and Scandinavian-inspired. Shoppers are fond of its stores not just for Ikea’s cult-favorite Swedish meatballs, but also because they’re set up like showrooms so customers can experience living in those spaces.

It’s also known for its vast array of kitchen items—everything from cabinetry, appliances and countertops to kitchen carts, drawer organizers and wall storage to tools and gadgets for cooking. Ikea‘s aesthetic is modern and simple, and fans go wild for it.

A product that recently caught my eye, as someone who geeks out over culinary tools, is Ikea’s Jämföra Knife Block with 3 Knives. This sleek set features a thin, modern-looking block in eye-catching matte black. The base of the block has two triangular silicone rubber feet that keep it steady. The three knives slide neatly into place for a space-saving, storage-forward design.

The knives feature a stainless steel blade coated with nonstick ceramic, ensuring food doesn’t stick while chopping and making them incredibly easy to clean. The rivet and handle are made of synthetic rubber, so you can get a good grip on them and they won’t easily slip from your hands.

The knife set includes a 7 ½-inch and a 5 ¾-inch cook’s knife and a three-inch paring knife. Ikea recommends washing the knives by hand and wiping the block down with a damp cloth to keep it clean. Storing them in the knife block will help them stay sharper, longer and keep them from getting damaged in a drawer with other utensils.

Shoppers are taking to the review section to share their feedback after purchasing and using the knives. Some are calling it a “sleek and convenient design,” a “great buy” and a “great looking knife set.”

One customer commented, “I just bought this set again for my sister-in-law. I loved mine so much and had to get her one. It’s sleek, portable, durable and very sharp. It’s currently my favorite thing in the kitchen plus it’s so easy to clean.” Another stated, “Got tired of my old knife block which took up a ton of counter space. It is delightful to have this sleek and slim replacement.”

While most buyers seem delighted with their purchase, with 116 five-star reviews, a few others noted they were disappointed with the knives, saying they didn’t arrive sharp, with another stating the set is “not good.” Ikea’s customer service team promptly responded, offering customers the opportunity to return or exchange the knife sets.

Just like most products at Ikea, we expect good quality for a decent price. This knife set, with the block, retails for just $29.99. It appears you can order it on Ikea’s website for delivery to your home (with a $35 order) or pickup at your local store.

And if this knife set isn’t quite what you’re looking for, the Sweden-based retailer has tons of other options to choose from. The Tigerbarb, Ikea 365+, Vörda and Ändlig models are all quite popular and offer a unique user experience.
